How to use Blender Asset Importer Addon

A23D Blender Asset Importer Addon provides a one-click import functionality for 3D models and PBR Textures into Blender without losing any data. You can easily access this plugin from File > Import > A23D Assets.

This guide shows how to download, install and use this addon. Follow these steps to download the add-on, properly install it in your Blender application and use it to import assets.

Downloading the plugin

Visit our Plugins page using this link and download the latest version of the plugin compatible with your installed Blender version.

Installing the plugin

  1. Launch Blender and go to Edit > Preferences. image
  2. In the Blender Preferences window, go to Add-ons and click Install from the top right corner. image
  3. Locate the downloaded plugin (.py file) from your computer and click the Install Add-on button from the bottom right corner. image
  4. Once installed, it will appear in the list of add-ons. Enable the plugin by clicking on the checkbox. Here you can also see the details of the plugin, version information and links to the documentation and support pages. image

Using the plugin

  1. The plugin can be called from File > Import > A23D Assets. You can also assign a shortcut key, add it to quick favourites or type “A23D Assets” in the search menu for quick access. image
  2. Locate the A23D Asset file/folder which you want to import into Blender from your computer.
  3. Click the Import A23D Asset button from the bottom right corner and the assets will be imported into your Blender file.
